Welcome to "Craigie Next Door"
Please read the information below before making a reservation!
In another time we’d spend months planning a new restaurant - all the details and nuances to create an extraordinary dining experience. Now we’ve had only a few days! Our spacious outdoor lot features widely spaced tables and a tent over most of the dining area that offers protection from the elements.
At "Craigie Next Door", we serve family-style dinners every night Wednesday through Sunday evening, cooked by Chef / Owner Tony Maws every night. We’re not talking about cute little pretentious plates of micro-sized food here. Instead, imagine bountiful summer salads, grilled farmer’s market vegetables, local fish and meats with all the flavors and originality you have come to expect in your Craigie on Main meals, just shareable. Much like the "Chef's Whim" there will be no choices - just a nod to vegetarians and extreme allergies. Simply put, we are throwing a dinner party outside each night for you and yours!
We want to be sure you know that, as always, we are here for you. This means we will also be following all the now-expected safety protocols to keep everyone well and worry-free. Full disclosure, in these complicated times we are choosing to go above and beyond what has been recommended in order to ensure maximum sanitation. We know these words are terribly un-sexy and not helping to paint a picture of a casual, romantic dinner under the stars (and tent!), but your well-being is extremely important to us. We will be taking your temperature upon arrival. We will have hand sanitizer for your use. We are spacing our tables further apart than recommended, and so on.
Here's how it works:
Dine with us at Craigie Next Door by making a reservations, available through our ticketing system, Tock. There are two seatings:
First seating at 5:30, 5:45, and 6:00 p.m.
Second seating at 7:30, 7:45, and 8:00 p.m.
Reservations are for 90-minute blocks to ensure we are able to properly clean and sanitize tables in between seatings.
The menus will vary daily, but will certainly be very different from week to week, with a more extravagant menu served on the weekends ... Each menu will have a few starters, a grilled fish or meat with accompanying vegetables, and dessert.
We hand-pick a selection of beverages each night with that meal in mind.
Wednesday and Thursday menus are $68 per person.
Friday and Saturday menus are $85 per person.
We are operating with limited resources and are only able to accommodate the following dietary restrictions at this time:

At Craigie on Main, we believe the skill and dedication of our kitchen staff is as important as the quality of service. To that end, and in lieu of a traditional gratuity, an 18% hospitality administrative charge will be added to all Craigie Next Door ticket purchases. Though this charge in no way represents a tip, service fee or gratuity, every cent of the 18% is distributed equitably to our Back of House and Front of House employees, and none of it is retained by the business. Please inquire with any questions or to have the charge removed or changed. If you would like to leave an additional amount as a traditional tip, those funds will be shared exclusively with the service staff as required by MA law, and you may do so in-person following your Craigie Next Door dining experience. Your generosity and support of our truly special team throughout the restaurant is certainly appreciated.

All orders must be placed by 4:00 p.m. for same-day pickup or delivery between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

We have had so many people ask whether some of our terrific spice rubs and condiments would be available for purchase… so the answer is now YES!!! While we are certainly not going to become a full fledged market, we will now have a “Provisions” section to our menu. We love the idea of helping you keep your pantry filled with Craigie-made, non ubiquitous provisions that will help you in your home kitchens. Take a peek, and keep an eye out as this evolves.
